His season-ending injury, being a torn Achilles and all, almost sounds like a Greek tragedy for the Jets. I'm sort of rooting for Zach Wilson to miraculously lead the team to a deep run.

ZW stinks!

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
The Jets tried this 15 years ago or so with Brett Favre it didn’t work.
It didn’t work for the Kansas City Chiefs with Joe Montana.
It did work for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady.
It did work for the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning technically, but the defense won that Super Bowl, because Mannings arm had fallen off that year.

Technically 2-2, but really 1-3.

I thought the Packers should have traded Rodgers a year earlier than they did. Instead they gave him a fat contract and lost his best receiver, Dante Adams, to Oakland.

I'm not much of a pro football fan, though the team I grew up rooting for was the Packers. (Vince Lombardi spoiled us.) As kids, we were insulted that the Colts allowed the Jets to beat them in 1969.

I do think it would be humorous if Wilson were somehow transformed into a superstar, but I know it's not going to happen.

I did have a chuckle when my nephew, the Bears fan, was trash talking the Packers last weekend. I told him I could care less, that I couldn't even name five players on the Packers. I didn't even know the Packers had beaten the Bears once again until Monday. Funny, though, my nephew didn't respond to my text.

It did work for the Chiefs, they went to the AFC Championshio game. Really good season

It worked for the Broncos. They made 2 SBs.

It worked for the Bucs

It didnt work for the Jets because Favre got hurt. They were really good with him

I hate the Jets and I really dislike Rodgers, so I love it. So sick of hearing about the Jets and the love affair with people like Mike Greenberg in the media.

Jets learn the same lesson the Mets did this season.

The Mets pinned their hopes on 2 pitchers who were great in their day but approaching 40 .

IMO more often than not it isn't going to work------40 is too old in professional sports

I don't listen to him anymore but I'll bet greeney is crying like a little biotch

I’m actually going to have to root for Dallas to beat the Jets this weekend.

Maybe it will be like Earl Morrall leading the '72 Dolphins.

Tell that to Tom Brady.

He'd be an upper half of the NFL QB this season if he chose to be, at age 46.

The Dallas Cowboys have not played in a Super Bowl since the 1995-96 season.

Hard to believe.
Yet, we have to see more shots of Jerry Jones glowering from his private box than of all other owners combined.

Try lining up with 5 46 year olds in the NFL , MLB , NHL or the NBA for that matter.

There are exceptions to everything

All to true

I have very little empathy as Rodgers has lived a life of woman bedding I could only dream of. Olivia Munn. Oh yeah. Danica Patrick rev me up. Shalene woodley not bad. Many more. His sex life is a 2 minute drill. He’s always winning in the red zone

Why would a player suffering a serious injury bring you joy ?

That speaks to what kind of person you are !

Surgery was successful.
More to follow on Tuesday night.

Huh? ? The guy is the ultimate diva.
Since you didn‘t answer the question I’ll repeat it.

Did you ever consider that maybe the Packers didn’t treat him so well ?

Were you privy to their negotiations ?

He is a diva and the majority of Packers fans are thrilled he is gone.

It's sad that Rodgers got injured but he's already playing up the drama. He says he's going to prove the haters wrong and come back? Haters? Huh? He's a 39 year old QB dealing with a major injury. The guy just needs drama.

And he thinks he's coming back this year from a achilles, it's a 12-14 month injury...he's dreaming
