We had meetings in South Bend earlier this month, and our publisher Stu Coman (he finally landed from his plane) informed us that Patrick Engel added the prestigious role of editor of our magazine.
At one point when Patrick left the room, a few of us were taken aback at the leadership qualities he showed in taking initiative with leading our print publication, Blue & Gold Illustrated.
I used to joked that Patrick was Lou 2.0. The GOAT passed tragically earlier this year, and I can say with confidence that our print paper would've fallen apart if it weren't for Patrick being on our staff. He's taken so much of Lou's workload, which was enormous.
