Happy Wednesday.

The fun is quickly disappearing from this season and this weekly exercise. Misery loves company though, so ND welcomes Stanford to town.

Last year ND was one of the few teams to contain McCaffrey and the game plan almost worked. If it weren't for Cajuste and Hogan's repeated heroics against a depleted ND secondary, Kizer would've been the hero.

Both teams are a shell of last years' versions, but I think Kizer is the difference in this one.

The only way we hold Stanford to 27 is if McCaffery is not playing. Even as bad as their offense has been we do not play with any type of fire or energy on defense like the 2 Washington teams do. Plus Stanford's defense is not very good this year, so it will be another shootout. I do not believe there is any type of leadership from the players on this years team.

Irish should win by 13-17 points.

The Cardinal are not that good and this is a chance for kelly to get a hold of the team and bring it back. Or it may be the nail in the coffin for him.

I'd like to think we win. I know Stanford has not played well this season but they certainly haven't played any worse than the Irish have. I look at the Irish and the ST sucks. The defense sucks. The offense isn't good really, it's all Kizer.

I officially have not a clue as to how this game will play out. Not a clue.

This one seems easy. ND can't stop anyone so Mcaffery will go off. This is not last years team where they have a Jaylon Smith to be the difference in stopping him. This team can't stop the run and can't tackle. Mcaffery will have a huge game.

On the other side Stanfords D doesn't seem very good either. The weather looks great so ND's offense will score right along side Stanford. This game will be a shootout and will mos tlikely come down to the last drive. Flip a coin as to has the ball last and wins the game. For the purposes of this board and being an ND fan i'll go ND-38 Stanford-34.

It will be a fun game to watch and be at but as an ND fan it will again be very tough to watch a defense that can't stop a nose bleed. Leaving tomorrow for the game. Look forward to every trip out there and this one will be no different. Go Irish!!! Beat Stanford!!!

I think Stanford was overrated before the injuries and now they are just terrible. The irish should win. All this talk about how good shaw is maddening. He does not recruit. So eventually the other programs in the PAC 12 will beat them and they will be a 7-5 to 9-4 team year in year out.

Stanford 28 ND 3 - without Kizer.

If he gets hurt we may not win another game. He's the only thing this team has going for it.

The only thing that is guaranteed is that full grown men who never played/coached football in their life (assistant linebacker coach for some JV program in Iowa doesn't count) will be crying after the game win or lose. These men will come to an internet message board and have a contest with who can come up with the best phrase to describe just how bad ND is and just how stupid coach BK is. These men will then tell everyone what ND should do, who they should hire, and when they should do it..... and they will debate with the other losers who are doing basically the same things but with a slightly different opinion on who the next HC should be....

And I will be here reading the comments.... laughing and fighting back the urge to type something...

Wo! That post wasn't directly at you but with a quote along the lines of "I've played more sports before I was 12....." internet tough guy... you are definitely the type of dude I am talking about. Especially with 27,xxx posts...... pick up a book or something? That is roughly 8 posts a day EVERYDAY for ten years (even though it says you have only been around for 6)? I thought I was bad with 1,500... granted most of them are from a combination of a high school forum and me posting on here when I was younger than the players and felt it was OK to berate them. Now that I am older than the players I would never talk negatively about their skills, only maybe their attitude.

I wont take the bait and try and argue with who with who has played at higher level of sports. Please carry on and tell everyone what you would do, who you would fire, who would be a slam-dunk hire and why.... even though no one really gives a sh*t and it really doesn't matter one iota.
