Good Morning Everyone

200.gif

This afternoon, ND can make it five ten win season's in a row. The last time that happened is, well it's never happened. The most recent five season streak has to deal with losses, and between the years 2007 - 2011, The Irish failed to win 10 games in any of those seasons, and never came close while averaging 6 wins a year.

There is one thing that worries me today, and it's not really the opponent. Georgia Tech with it's 3-7 record and 117th ranked defense doesn't scare me, and neither does it's middle of the pack offense. GT's biggest win of the year so far has been a 14 - 8 loss against Clemson - or at least it seemed that way in week 3. What scares me is senior day. A lot of emotion will be going through a lot of players, and I'm sure there were some distractions during the week dealing with it, including missed practices due to the flu bug. Let's just hope that everyone's head is on straight, and that they continue to find ways to win.

YOUR GAMEDAY FORECAST

Not too bad today. For you tailgaters expect it to be about 35 degrees under cloudy skies and winds out of the south at 10mph. At kick-off the temperature should soar to 45 degrees with partly cloudy skies and winds at 11 mph. By the 4th quarter it should be in the low 40's. No chance of rain today.

On paper, this game shouldn't be close, but then again that was the case with a few other games. We'll hopefully get Drew White and MTA back, and that will take a little load off the others because I'm going to guess that the offense they'll be facing today will be a bit better than Virginia's - it almost has to be, right?

My theme hasn't changed over the last several weeks. Take advantage of the big play opportunities, and then win the game and let all of the other teams in front of you sort things out. We have Oregon visiting Utah, OSU at Michigan State and Cincinnati travels to SMU. Let's see how this all plays out and see how many notches ND climbs in the rankings tomorrow.

Things could have turned out worse this year!
