While OBJ is not in the right, I have to ask myself why policeman were in the locker room to begin with? To me they were just looking for issues and harassing people until someone took the bait, and they got what they wanted, handed to them by this idiot OBJ.

OBJ has not business being among those kids so its his fault entirely, but let us not turn a blind eye to this cop who is in the championship locker room for what reason again?

Based on assumption we can guess why the cop was in there: To stir up trouble and harass kids celebrating a NC. He wanted attention and he had a plan from the get go. Sorry but I have no pity for this guy. That being said, he is a cop and he deserves respect, the situation should have been handled differently. Coach O should have alerted his chief officer and made this no big deal.

OBJ is an idiot, but why give him the attention at all. He has no right to be in that locker room either. For a lot of people it is fun to jump on people when they make mistakes like AB and OBJ, honestly I do not care and I get no joy watching people's life fall apart. It is sad, very sad and I just think it is best to completely ignore people like that.

So here is the synopsis: Neither party (cop or OBJ) should have been in the locker room to begin with. OBJ is an idiot, who cares? Is that really breaking news? To me its not, the guy is a tool. This could have been completely avoided, plain and simple.

Maybe the officer was in there for security. Maybe he was told by his superiors that this is the way things are going to be enforced. Maybe it's strict stadium policy that they have enforced before. We don't know what is told from the top down. I would say the officer is supposed to be there and I have no problem with invited former players being there as long as they realize it's not about them and they act like adults. You put your hands on any officer and there is a good chance you are going downtown. If you don't believe me, try it. It most likely will be resolved painlessly.

I might not have quoted the poster, but it was asked "why was the cop there", my response was smell of smoke, or, anyone who cared that was in a position of authority could have asked the officer to investigate the smoke.
