O.T. posting pictures in threads

How do we post a picture that we have taken? The picture link appears to only be able to post a picture from a website/link. However, when I uploaded my pic to google drive (shared) or OneDrive (Public) and copy the link to post, I get an error message that says that link can't be used.

Upload to https://imgur.com/ and then copy the direct image link from there and then paste the image link directly in the post or use the little image icon and paste it in there.
