Wanted to make sure I had this right:

Offense
LT: Ronnie Stanley 6-5 315#
2nd: Hunter Bivin 6-5 302#
LG: Quenton Nelson 6-4 324#
2nd: Alex Bars 6-6 316#
C: Nick Martin 6-4 301#
2nd: Sam Mustipher 6-2 305#
RG: Steve Elmer 6-5 315#
2nd: John Montelus 6-4 310#
RT: Mike McGinchey 6-7 310#
2nd: Mark Harrel 6-4 306#

Defense:
DE: Romeo Okwara 6-4 260#
2nd: Andrew Trumbetti 6-4 255#
DT: Sheldon Day 6-2 285#
2nd: Jay Hayes 6-3 285#
NG: Jarron Jones 6-5 315#
2nd: Jerry Tillery6-6 300#
DE: Isaac Roshell 6-3 287#
2nd: Grant Blankenship 6-4 252# (Trumbetti on situations)

Do I have this right. Feel like I have a mistake in there.

Looks right to me, except I think the LG battle between Nelson and Bars is still ongoing. The fact Bars can also play tackle May impact this. Regardless, the OL talent and depth are the best we've seen in years.

Bars may be the unofficial #2 at RT in addition to LG.

Believe Ishaq is ahead of Blakenship if he comes back. Tillery could also be pushed by Cage potentially

There is definitely some guess work to do at this point, as we still have part of summer practices and all of fall camp.

My guesses are:
1.) Nelson wins the LG spot, partly because Bars is our 3rd best OT prospect who needs to train at OT this season
2.) Bars focuses exclusively on OT. He backs up both spots and plays a decent amount in a few blowouts
3.) Tillery and Cage both force their way into PT
4.) Grace is healthy enough to play close to 100%
5.) Morgan takes a step forward in understanding the defense, and has a lot of "responsibility taken off his plate" so he can get on the field more without looking lost
6.) Sheldon Day ends up playing more SDE and Isaac Rochell plays more DT, which actually plays to both of their strengths
7.) Trumbetti eventually edges out Okwara, those both play a lot
8.) Jaylon Smith moves back to OLB, to allow Morgan to get on the field more
9.) Ishaq Williams is allowed back onto the team
10.) Kolin Hill and Doug Randolph will be used as standup DE/OLB hybrids in pass rushing situations

That would leave a depth chart of:

LT - Stanley , Bars
LG - Nelson , Montelus
C - Martin , Musitpher
RG - Elmer , Montelus
RT - McGlinchey , Bars

SDE - Day , Ishaq
DT - Rochell , Tillery
NT - Joes , Cage
WDE - Trumbetti , Okwara

WDE/OLB - Hill , Randolph

WLB - Morgan , Martini
MLB - Grace , Schmidt
SLB - Jaylon , Onwaulu

Decker, don't necessarily agree with each and every guess, but there is decent rationale for each. Thanks for the effort and your thoughts.

Thanks!

Just for fun, my guess at the whole depth chart (again, full of guesses because we don't know how some situations will play out)

( "," = order on depth chart, "/" = tied on depth chart)

QB - Zaire , Kizer , Van Gorder

RB - Folston , Prosise , Bryant / D. Williams

WRw - Robinson / Brown , Brent
WRx - Fuller , Brent , Holmes
WRz - Carlisle, Prosise , Hunter

TE - Smythe , A. Jones, Luatua / Weishar

LT - Stanley , Bars
LG - Nelson , Montelus
C - Martin , Mustipher
RG - Elmer , Montelus
RT - McGlinchey , Bars

SDE - Day , I. Williams / Blankenship / Bonner
DT - Rochell , Tillery / Hayes / Matsuka
NT - Jones , Tillery / Cage / Mowauh
WDE - Trumbetti / Okwara , Randolph

DE/OLB - Hill / Randolph

WLB - Morgan , Martini , Coney
MLB - Grace , Schmidt , Deeb
SLB - Jaylon , Onwualu , Barajas

NB - Farley , Watkins

CB - Luke , Watkins , Butler / Crawford
CB - Russel , Watkins , Butler / Crawford

FS - Redfield , Farley , Baratti
SS - Shumare , Tranquil / Sebastian

Looks good Decker. However, one thing I disagree on is Joe Schmidt. I think he'll start at MLB, if he's healthy. He was the quarterback of the D last year (and did a fantastic job), and I think VanGorder will go with him again.

I can understand that, it could definitely happen

However, it's been talked a lot about this spring that Grace has really learned the defense well during his time off. Lots of positive comments about his knowledge of the defense.

I think it's possible he ends up knowing about as much as Schmidt but is a far more physically gifted player....this giving us the best of big

If he really does know the defense that well and can get back to REALLY 100% then it could be very hard to keep him off the field. Remember he was the team leader in tackles when he was healthy in 2013....even though he was split time with Fox and Carlo

If they're both totally real thy it will be a good battle and a good problem to have

Really like swapping Day/Rochell.. Like the swap for Morgan for James O too but think Schmidt beats out Grace. Also wouldn't mind see Hunter get the nod over Carlisle.

Wimbush over van Gorder at 3rd string QB. Lets hope neither has to see any time this year, though!

Linebacker will be the most interesting position through camp, IMO. Does Morgan "get" the defense well enough to play at the MIKE? Can Schmidt play WILL? Does Jaylon move to SAM and allow him to potentially be more dynamic and play in space more? Will Schmidt and Grace be full speed and 100% by the start of the season? Lots of questions still to be answered.

Thanks!
