6 days is the count down. Who is going to the game Saturday night? For those who are coming "Welcome to Notre Dame!" For those of you not coming enjoy the game on TV or radio, cheer load because we can feel it in the stadium.

It would be great for some game for some of us to get together a meet before or after the game. I know the 4 Horseman board gets together once.

Go IRISH!

IrishJohn----biggest jerk on the board. I'm sure people are going to sacrifice their time at Notre Dame to go have beers with him and listen to him pop off on any and all topics.

Yep, forget all of the fantastic gameday activities that are offered. Let's line up to have beers with message board blow-hard, IrishJohn.

I feel proud when attacked by IrishJohn and Mo1e.

Can you imagine ruining a Notre Dame weekend with them at your side?

I turned off my directv recently to have more money to spend on some home remodeling projects so I need to find a way to watch the game live online. I know nbcsports.com shows full replays of the game the next day but I don't know if they let you watch the game live on there website or not

You have nothing to feel proud about unless being the most reviled fraud in Rival's history is something to be proud of.

I have never been to Irish in South bend. I hope to someday soon. And IrishJohn has a good idea.
When I do finally go to a game it would be nice to see some of posters on this board. Build comradarie.
Go Irish !
You need to get to Notre Dame.

Oh and thanks for hijacking yet another thread which doesn't evolve you Augsman!

Let's hear some predictions people! Me being possibly the biggest ND fan in all of southwestern Virginia, i finally got tired of frequenting the ND rivals without being able to see the full scoop or the message board.....so I paid $99 this morning at 4:30 a.m. to get on here and mainly see 3 or 4 fans battle back and forth with 2 Noles fans. Please tell me there's light at the end of the tunnel and it gets better? Haha

I think Texas defense will be pretty tough but Zaire will play lights out......might need to let him run the ball a few times first at the start of the game to channel some of his adrenaline and wipe out a jitter or two. I think the ND run game can take over this one without relying heavily on the pass....but I've been wrong before. Overall Zaire seems very confident, not cocky, and I like it. I feel like he will be a great leader for ND along with being a stellar athlete, whether or not he pans out to be a true star QB.

I'm gonna go out on a limb a say:

ND - 35
TX - 20

This will be the longest week in the history of mankind!! Saturday can't get here fast enough......heck Thursday can't get here fast enough. Im just ready for some college football PERIOD!!

Sharkfan, you had a rough few days in SW Va. My thoughts are with you.

ND wins big, superior talents coupled with great coaching and a three TD win.

By rough few days your referring to what BigFella?

I hope they win big and make a statement.... but I still want to see how they perform with all this talent. Hopefully the game play will carry over from the bowl game last year.

Isn't Roanoke, where the Local TV people were murdered in SW Va?

ND needs to make a statement, and I believe they will !

Sorry for being completely blank as to what you were referring to. I'm actually so far southwest in VA that I live 10 minutes from the TN state line. Roanoke is over 2 hrs away from me so I guess that's why it didn't register with me at first. I'm stuck directly in between VA Tech and Vol country. Football is huge here where I live and southwest VA is cut off from the rest of VA in all facets of life whether it be high school sports or whatever. Roanoke is generally the cut off line to life existing in VA.....I'm in the coal mining country.....NoVA (Northern & Easter VA) looks down upon us.

But as I digress in myexplanations, yes it was a tragic event! Unexplainable what some humans could do to one another. It's definitely hitting fairly close to home here.
..those reporters were on my local channels every day. Had some more incidents at some clubs and bars too where some young college students were shot up but that never made the news.

And this ND team has all the tangibles to make statements all year long....they just have to gel and put it all together. Not to mention Kelly has to put together some solid coaching and game planning on his end of the deal

You need to get to Notre Dame.

I am taking vacation the week before the G. Tech game and it is only a 11 hour drive. Do you think I would be able to get scalped tickets for me and my wife before the game? How much would you estimate tickets right before the game would be? I know it would probably be pretty high and we would have to sit in different areas.

Bodi, if you want to go I will make certain you get two tickets with adjoining seats at face value. Let me know and I'll set it up so you can make plans.

Thanks. I will have to convince my wife first. Can you im me on how much the two face value tickets would be? I do a lot of things on the spur of the moment and seeing the Irish play GTECH sounds great too me.

I think the price is $125 per ticket, but I should get a better price. Just let me know here if you need them. Sooner is better!

I always talk about how I'm going to drive every year to South Bend to get scalped tickets.....but I end up using StubHub every time and take a raping. It's just hard to drive 11 hrs, which is what it is for me, without knowing for sure that your going to get a ticket.

Bodi, if he's going to get you tickets for sure, you need to go. I finally got to go about 4 or 5 years ago and watched them play USC.....been hooked ever since! I now make 2 or 3 games a year. If your a die hard ND fan you need to be a part of the atmosphere up there....nothing like it. I've been to multiple stadiums including TNs Neyland Stadium with a packed house against Florida.....even holding alot fewer fans the ND atmosphere is still totally different and light years better. (I am biased of course) I don't think my goosebumps ever go down til I leave the stadium...it's a constant rush. You'll be hooked once you go....well worth the drive

Yeah, good luck to y'all.

As a Boomer Sooner I know it's just a hell of a lot of fun when we beat them...it's savory.

if I am in town (I doubt I will be, I'll be on call this weekend) I might be up tailgating. If people want to meet up let me know.

Getting tickets absolutely no problem. Buy them on campus and you will not get scalped. But expect to pay face value and your best seats will be in the end zones. But there is not a bad seat in the house. I see tickets just about every game. Games like USC and Texas you will not find too many, but other games like Georgia Tech no problem. If you pay more then say $180 for two tickets to see GT then that is too much.

Does any one know how Texas fans travel? Will South Bend be invaded with Longhorn fans like Nebraska did?

I get the feeling Texas travels well.

I doubt we see anything like the Nebraska game in a long, long time.

For the Nebraska game, there was an op-ed in the newspaper leading up to it. Where people were tired of Davie that they actually were going to not go to the game, in order to end the sell out streak to show how displeased they were. Well that was right when Ebay was getting big. So instead of just not going. Everyone decided to Ebay their tickets. That is how that happened.

Oh I remember that. I was at the game, was not a usher yet. I had Nebraska fans to my right, left, front and back. They where everywhere, but very classy fans I must say. Had not one problem with them. Was very embarrassing seeing all red.

I tailgated with a bunch of them. Well spoken, polite, and a ton of fun. Would love to play them again.

And the worst part is they came in very heavily favored, and ND almost knocked them off.

This got ridiculous, and I was one of the main problems. It won't happen again. My apologies to John and the rest of the board.

Go Irish, beat Texas. John---if I see you at the game......I owe you a beer.

Are you coming for the game? If so welcome to ND. Go Irish!

BTW, I say ND wins
Irish 30
Longhorns 17

I will not be able to afford to go to Florida (The redneck Riviera part) and go to the game.
I guess I will watch it on tv while sitting on the balcony feeling the ocean breeze. Hopefully the relaxed atmosphere will keep me from swearing too much during the game.
I have been a Irish fan since 1970 when Joe Theisman was QB. I am definitely planning to go to South Bend to see a game. I might even try to sneak up for the Umass game since tickets should be cheaper.
I will let you guys know when I go. For some reason I want to see that stairwell where they play the trumpets. That looks cool as hell.
Go Irish !!
Beat Texas !!

*** I am going to try and turn over a new leaf and not get into exchanges with posters I don't like. It wastes others peoples time and there are posters who don't much care for me either. I hope they just put me on ignore. We all can make this a better board. There are many great posters on this board that I enjoy reading.

The NBC Sports trucks have arrived! Not sure where they are going to park them with all of the construction but I am sure they will pack that up on Thursday.....Go Irish!
