Gordon Sellars is scheduled to announce a commitment decision later this month. On Wednesday, Notre Dame tried to give Sellars something else to consider when it extended him a scholarship offer.

Sellars has been focused on six schools ahead of his April 18 decision: Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, South Carolina and North Carolina A&T.

Sellars visited South Carolina in January, North Carolina in February and Clemson, Ohio State and Michigan in March. Sellars returned to Clemson last weekend, and he's also scheduled to visit South Carolina on Saturday.

Sellars previously lined up official visits to Clemson (May 30-June 1), South Carolina (June 6-8) and Georgia (June 13-15).

Sellars caught 50 passes for 975 yards and 10 touchdowns in 10 games as a junior at Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day. His quarterback Zaid Lott, a three-star recruit, is committed to Syracuse.

Sellars is friends with Notre Dame linebacker commit Thomas Davis Jr. and safety target Nick Reddish. The Irish are continuing to lean into ties in North Carolina with its recruiting efforts. Sellars' head coach at Providence Day is Chad Grier, who coached former ND quarterback Sam Hartman in high school.
