the more seasons defense has trouble recruiting the more depth issues will arise. We talk about the injuries because the dropoff from starters to backups is significant

Big stadium, loud crowd, road game, first game of the season, opponent with a new offense . . . could be a tough start for any true freshmen. Start with some experience. It will be hot. Texas may go up tempo. Plenty of guys will play.

Surprised to see Coney as a backup to Morgan. Was hoping he'd start at Will and Barajas would backup the Mike.

Will be interesting to see how Sebastian and Tranquil do at safety. I'm most nervous about how that position performs. They will be challenged early and often.

Glad to see CJ Sanders win the slot WR position. The trio of Sanders, Hunter, and St. Brown is gonna be exciting to watch. Now, let's see who gets the first chance at throwing them the ball.
