I know I have floated Anaheim (Calif.) Servite three-star quarterback Tyler Lytle's name out there as a potential target following Hunter Johnson's commitment to Tennessee, and I can now report that he did speak to Notre Dame on Sunday.
Lytle said that he called offensive coordinator Mike Sanford, which is noteworthy because he normally communicates with associate coach Mike Denbrock, who recruits the area.
Sanford told Lytle that they are excited to watch him this season – which is expected seeing as he has yet to start a varsity game.
The 6-4, 190-pound quarterback holds early offers from Miami and Colorado State.
