I thought they were top 30 ish
Chase lolLol no
I thought they were top 30 ish
You gotta downgrade them. Their offense struggles to move the ball. The QB is an athlete but cant make throws & makes poor decisions. I think their D has a couple really good players but its not elite to make up for their o's shortcomings. With the schedule they have coming up only Marshall & Wake are games I think they can win. Id be surprised if they went .500 this year. They are
It’s a W. Just ask FSU, Bama and CU. UGA and OSU vs IU. CFB. It’s the strangest sport. I’m he best team can lose against the worst teams. Amazing.I thought they were top 30 ish
Absolutely makes you wonder, BUT football is a team game where emotions play a huge roll in performance week to week. Notre Dame seems to bring out the best in opposing teams because they are sky high with the thought of beating one of the most storied programs in college football. UV on the other hand, represents a task that needs to get done.Like ND, looked good at times. Strange they didn’t pull away.
That was a tough game. Few thousand fans. At Uv. 0-3 team.
But it does make ya wonder. Well, we don’t have long now to know where MF and ND is.
UVA seemed more up for the game, at home on a Friday night. Although I only watched the 4th quarter. But NC State was fortunate to come away with the win.Absolutely makes you wonder, BUT football is a team game where emotions play a huge roll in performance week to week. I still maintain going on the road to play them was a good first test for the Irish. Although perhaps it wasn't as good of a test for our defense as we originally thought. Its only one game. The score doesn’t always reflect the average result if the teams were to play 100 times.
That said, NC State doesn’t look like they have a good offense. 24 points against UConn, ND and now Virginia. They had a lot of mistakes against ND. That was not a good game defensively for ND and NCSU still managed 24 points. Some point to backups, but there were some starters out there on that last drive. Poor execution and possibly alignment on that TD pass.
Quite a few drops for NC against ND. A 4th and 5 where the guy fell short of the first down. Nothing ND did. They should have converted a 3rd and 17 but the guy dropped it and ND got a pick off it. Should have been 18+ yards and a first down. Armstrong didn’t see the open guy in the endzone when that could have made it 24-24. They then missed a short field goal.
Lots of defensive issues for ND that game that were masked by poor play from the opponent.
Defensively, NCSU looks pretty good. If its not Doeren, I’f love for ND to take a look at who is responsible for the defense. Doubt that happens with Freeman though.

It is not interesting about those that claim to be Irish fans AIN'T?Look very good tonight !
Tony Gibson. But he runs a 3-3-5 and would take a few years for ND to get the right personnel in. I’m not sure ND has the patience to switch to a 3-3-5 and wait it out to see the best results. Its only one game. The score doesn’t always reflect the average result if the teams were to play 100 times.
