It was a tough effort today. I went to the game. It would have turned in our favor if Beachem hit some shots as well as Colson. Josh Hart was too much for our D. No biggie. Its early in the year. My personal opinion is that if we are going to beat elite teams Matt Ryan will have to develop a low post game and work inside out. All he does is shoot 3 point bombs. I dont think he even had a look today. He has good size so he needs to drive to the hoop and score like Vasturia. That would add some points if the 3 ballers go cold like what happened in the 2nd half today.
How come Beachum isn't scoring........seems uncomfortable at times..maybe pressing things?
Beachem is inconsistent. An inside game would make him a better player. He missed a lot of shots in warm ups and he was sitting down awhile. Maybe he wasn't feeling well who knows. Farell and Vasturia are the most consistent players. Also, Gibbs and Pflueger played well. Brey also needs to get Mooney some PT because he has more upside than Geben. Although Geben did do some nice things today. Geben is still a work in progress.
He's never had an inside game outside of wide open dunks. He doesn't play strong. Doesn't look like he did anything to improve in the off season.
