Minus three of their top six players and tied at the end of one quarter, Notre Dame pulled away from 5-0 Drake to record an 82-64 win Friday night in the semifinal of the Vancouver Showcase. They will now face No. 9 Oregon State, a 70-68 winner versus No. 13 South Carolina, in the final tonight at 8 p.m.

Arike Ogunbowale scored a season high 30 points to go with eight rebounds. Jackie Young added 25 points and and five assists while playing mainly point guard with freshman Jordan Nixon (concussion protocol) missing her second game of the tourney. Marina Mabrey (quadriceps) has been sidelined all five games, and senior forward Jessica Shepard was shelved against the Bulldogs Friday night because of a sore ankle incurred late in the Thursday win over Gonzaga.

Sophomore Danielle Patterson made her first career start, in place of Shepard, and finished with eight points and six rebounds. Brianna Turner scored 12 points and blocked three shots. The status for Shepard in tonight's championship game is uncertain. Box Score.
