Notre Dame: 247Sports Arizona State tight ends coach DelVaughn Alexander will interview for the Notre Dame wide receivers job. Alexander worked at ASU with new Irish offensive coordinator Chip Long.

Primarily a receivers coach and former reciever. Played behind Johnny Morton and Keyshawn. Not bad guys to back up! Have no idea what kind of recruiter? Time to dig...

From AZ St.? ... I thought the next coach would come from Quinnipiac

from tos...

"Building a program takes time, and there is a well established process to get there. After 7 years of mediocrity, you need to go 4-8, fire the offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, special teams coordinator, and S&C coach, hire all new guys, but keep the head coach, and then you'll be elite. It's a simple formula, actually."

Unfortunately the admin. is clueless! Nonetheless the actual coaches are upgrades imo. Whether Kelly does anything with it? Remains to be seen.

do you think notre dame fb team will be in theplayoff conversation. or will they be competing for the alamo bowl

not that it matters but, the 2 prime rivals on ND's schedule are not suffering any of ND's recruiting woes!
USC and Stanford are cleaning up. Who wants to try to put some spin on this one?

recruits right now have zero clue as to the direction of the football program . 2017 will will be a feast or famine situation. le is going to be very tough If they are 1-2 after the 1st 3 games it's over for BK.

I want these new hires to work like everybody else here. Can't hep but share CGVR's view that this really is an insane way to run a major football program. It's akin to a private corporation failing on every measure, and the BOD retaining the CEO and firing all the executive direct reports to the CEO. This should be a case study of dysfunctional management for The Mendoza School of Business.

Doubtful they can manage to lose to either BC or Temple.

Agree!!! The business end has been piss poor for years. 2 buyout situations that ND has, and could potentially face. Not ideal for having such a prestigous BS. in Mendoza. Wonder if the professors are shaking there heads? Would be an interesting topic to delve into the poor practices this Univ. has been involved in the last few coaches.

So, I am sitting in a business "Ethics and Morality" class. Anyway, Fr Heppen and Fr Mertensotto were teaching the class. Everybody was given a company or organization that was faced with a grey not so grey decision and chose a borderline/unethical direction. We had to research the situation and give a presentation...field questions...

My buddy gives his presentation and it was informative, logical, well done...
The priests do a good cop bad cop routine and Heppen starts in.
"You show up here looking like a comic strip character." My friend was wearing a bandana, tee shirt, jeans.. Heppen continues to rip away and finishes this salvo with "and you were ill prepared." We're all sitting in "holy sh**" mode thinking, "heck, that was pretty good."

Anyway, Ed thinks for a few seconds and says, "I was better prepared for this presentation than you were for student housing." Mertensotto and the class burst out laughing. Heppen is seeing red....

Heppen was in charge of student housing and he ran out of space forcing students who had been assigned dorms rooms to move off campus.....I don't know if he double booked, but somehow he f'd up royally.
There are plenty of stories like this....none worse than the current situation...weis.....

I think Toby will have to admit that is a great story, exceptionally imagined and written for a twelve year old!

What's funny is I had to present on the Vega because they knowingly put out cars with defective axle lengths...
So, I just googled Vega axle problems....
"In 1972, GM issued three mass recalls, the largest covering 500,000 Vegas, to fix defective axles, balky throttles and problems that caused fires. The Vega's aluminum engine was notorious for buckling and leaking."
I have no idea why I remember stuff like this....

Well as we get older it's the experiences we had earlier in life that are clear and ever present, while we can't remember where we parked the car at the mall. You're too young for this, so seems you have the former down, and hopefully avoid the later! I still hate the redundant pics with each of your posts, but appreciate your views when you are discussing ND football beyond calling Kelly Dopey.
