Notre Dame has extended a bid to Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven four-star defensive back Donte' Vaughn. Vaughn, who is visiting Notre Dame on Wednesday, had Irish coaches at his school twice during the spring evaluation period.
"It meant a lot of them to send two coaches, because that's a high class school," Vaughn told Blue & Gold Illustrated.
The 6-2, 195-pound defensive back is ranked as the nation's No. 250 overall prospect and the No. 18 safety in the country according to Rivals.com. He also holds offers from Auburn, LSU, Tennessee and Ole Miss.
Notre Dame is recruiting Vaughn as a cornerback.
