I was not even aware that the Knight Commission was still an ongoing organization. The recommendation is that the Power-5 schools for their own organization to govern Power-5 football.
If you click on the bottom link you will find an interesting graph showing where income comes from for both Power-5 schools and the other non-Power-5 football programs. It shows that over 60% of the income for the non Power-5 schools comes from government support or student fees.
