Fired Frank Solich after a 9-3 season just two seasons removed from playing for a title
awful hire in Bill Callahan a guy who hadn't ever been a HC in college and had been away from college for a decade (like our Weis hire)
chased the money to the Big 10 ... no longer has a foothold in Texas for recruiting
Fires Bo Pelini after going 37-15 in the Big 10 and winning their division once ... fired because he was mean to boosters and the media
hired nice guy Mike Riley who was a mediocre coach at best and he continued his mediocre ways at Nebraska but hey at least he wasn't mean
good hire in Scott Frost but Riley had run the program into the ground and it is too late to right the ship because they have no recruiting stronghold
Firing Solich and then Pelini is just mind blowing .... They will never be a blue blood again and I doubt they will ever win the Big10 in my lifetime ... Frost is a jerk (edited LOL)
IMHO they should shell out the money for Niumatalolo or Monken and just become an option team ...
