We did almost the same against temple then look what happened next week. Do not take the bait500+ on the ground. ND fans have been begging for this. Way to go BK and Chip.
Suffering after a victory ? You're no fan of the Irish.I knew we'd have to suffer through a week of I told you so, after ND beat a horrid team. Call me when Kelly beats a real team.
515 yards rushing - any premature e-jack fans blowing up the board?

It was a nice win. BC is the worst ACC team, but the Irish took care of business in the second half.
I didn't expect the oline to maul UGA. But if you are fine with their performance against them then that's on you. Georgia will win 8 gamesWhat happened the next week? ND played a top 5 defense, got shutdown, dropped 5 passes (3 on key third downs) and lost by a single point?.. somebody had to lose that game. It happens. Are you watching LSU get viciously manhandled by Miss State right now? News flash. Those SEC teams play really good defense.
Also, it's clearly a trend that the Irish line beats up on the BCs of the world only to fall flat against top defenses. And I mean REALLY fall flat... UGA, Clemson, MSU last year. I won't praise them until they beat up USCWhat happened the next week? USC getting a real game from a team with a Freshman QB. Texas has some athletes on D. (Are they all Charlie Strong recruits?)Exactly. ND is 2-0 with two convincing wins over teams they should have beat. Unfortunately, they lost to Georgia (a game they had plenty of chances to win) but those people who thought ND was going 11-1 or 12-0 after going 4-8, we're smoking some of that Columbian paco. By any realistic measure, flipping 4-8 to 8-4 in a single year, with a 1st time starter at QB, would be a considered a quality turnaround. Obviously, at Notre Dame the expectations are higher than that, which is why I think we saw a lot of 9-3 predictions. I think 10-2 would be an excellent turn around, but I expect a couple of tough losses this year.

Should have known the complaints would rage. Are there 'really' any ND fans on this site?
Some here certainly do not. Why all the focus on the negatives even after victories ?Don't do that. Would we be here every week if we didn't want ND to succeed.
Every win is a good win. Having said that, the Irish struggled mightily in the first half of what appears to be a bad team. I will celebrate this win knowing that if the Irish do not significantly improve their passing game quickly, this may be a very long season.
The BC game, (scrimmage) really did not answer any existing questions.
So you're saying they have not been prepared to tackle ? Or are you equating performance to your perceived idea of preparation ? I would imagine any team would be " prepared " to tackle regardless who the opponent is.You better be prepared to tackle when you play USC and when I say tackle, I mean on first contact.
I must really be in your head 24/7 for you to follow me all over the board looking for an argument. What kind of "football coach" can you possibly be when an old guy on a free message board lives in your head? My statement stands for anyone who plays USC. This is exactly the abrasive attitude you must bring into your classroom to keep the young minds under control. The NEA would approve. So you're saying they have not been prepared to tackle ? Don t flatter yourself. Make a stupid comment and I ll call you on it. Quite simple. You don't have the first idea about what transpires in the classroom. You know like your football knowledge. Minimal at best.I must really be in your head 24/7 for you to follow me all over the board looking for an argument. Call me on it. What's the stupid comment? "You better be prepared to tackle USC"? The fact is you follow me all over the place and then pounce. This is a leader in a classroom? This is a leader and an example of the field ? You may have fooled your "like" buddy but the fact is my comments are based on the obvious. Nothing genius about them. Comments echoed by ND beat writers, Bk himself, and the players. You can't bully me like you can your players and students. That's why you are in a constant fit. Seems there are few references to the impact Ballis and staff have had once the season began, but it was sure a nice change to see our players look stronger as the game wore on.The first half the Irish were running the ball down BC's throats and wearing them out for the big second half beatdown !! The second half is what separates the men from the boys. BC was dead at halftime and they didn't know it. Also we just got off a close loss in a very physical game against Georgia and BC is always skyhigh when they play us.

We have nine games left. You really think we'll lose five of those remaining games? Really??I do think the 4-8 record last year was truly an outlier. So, I was thinking 8-4 would not be that great a turnaround. I was really expecting 9-3, maybe 10-2. But with a QB who can't hit a pass to save his life, I see us back at something closer to 6-6 or 7-5.

Very true but with a couple of bounces going ND's way they could end up 11-1....I think a lot of people are selling them short on the UGA game. To a Damm good football team. They also were playing a true frosh QB due to the injury to their starter, and ND still lost...at home...
