Exactly. Brey is a great coach for ND. Totally under appreciated by a lot of our fan base. He does much more with less, as opposed to Kelly, who does significantly less with more
Vasturia and Beachem coached their asses off today!
Really tough to win when both of them are not smoking hot. Only one is not enough even with Farrell and Golson playing well.
Stole a win on the road holding them to 37.5% shooting. Did it with defense and grit.
All the players in our 8 man rotation have taken the step forward we wanted except Beachem and Ryan. I don't think we can hit 10 or more wins, even 9, without them stepping up like the rest of the rotation.

If you have to rely on Beachem night in night out, it's going to be a long season.
The strength of the last few years is the number of different players who can score and pick up for another player' s off night. I think VJ will be on more than he'll be off but I would like to see him drive to the basket more like Vasturia does. It was VJ's block with 2.5 seconds left that helped force OT. This was a good game to start off the ACC season.
I like the depth they have in the backcourt. VJ has to shoot better in the big games. Sometimes it becomes mental and can last a long time. My Concern is the extensive minutes Bonzie plays . He will wear out by seasons end. It happen to Vasturia last year. Geban should be spelled with Mooney for 5-7 minutes . they have the same frame. It is obvious they need a big man to stay on the court defensively . Bonzie is the team MVP right now but can use help inside and Geban played his best game yesterday which is good news .. need to add few pieces to that frontline.
