I guess they voted the LSU vs Wisconsin game #1 but obviously this is the most interesting non conference B1G game for me. Once again we are going through a QB transition when we play you but you have your issues also.

We got basketball to enjoy now and the fall is a long time off but I'm glad we are playing our old friends in South Bend again!

How are you guys looking this year? I seem to recall that you had a number of graduations, including most notably Connor Cook, but perhaps you can tell us what MSU's anticipated strengths and weaknesses will be. Thanks.

I thought we discussed this at lunch...Irish should have no problem with Spartie I hope

Several key departures including Cook but Dantonio runs the program so well and develops players across the board that I feel it will be a reload. The defense will probably be stronger than offense and very good, it was pretty young in 2015. Because of injuries we played a lot of young DBs last season so the back 4 should a strength in 2016. The DL and LB units look very strong. The specialists return so special teams ought to be okay.

The offense faces greater challenges replacing the QB, LT, center, a guard and the most productive receivers. The replacement OLM are experienced because of injuries and all of our running backs return. MSU may have their QBs run more this year. Tyler O'Connell played QB well at Ohio State along with Damion Terry so while I don't expect Cook like production I think the offense will be fine.

Last year we had first year running backs and they performed well. I think we'll probably have a more ground oriented team with perhaps TOC and Terry getting reps against ND. Replacing the receivers looks like the biggest challenge but MSU has very good tight ends to lean on until the receivers come around. The bottom line, I expect another top 10 team. Dantonio has built a really solid, stable program and I think the Spartans will compete for the B1G title again.

The Spartans will pose a huge threat for the Irish in 2016. I believe the Irish will prevail because of all they do have returning, but it will be one of the most anticipated games of the year and I personally wish MSU was on the Irish schedule every year.

I've always liked playing ND too and miss playing the Irish every year but your alliance with the ACC makes sense and with the B1G going to 9 games we won't see that again so I'll just enjoy the games when scheduled. Maybe we'll play in the playoffs some year.

I like your 2016 schedule what look like the toughest games MSU and Stanford are at home. You finish with SC on the road who knows about them and Texas but the rest look like solid Irish wins to me.

Can the Big 10 find some money to get Harbaugh another pair of pants? Those Walmart khakis are getting stale. CVGR can't get them clean.

Say what you will about Harbaugh but he is relentless and creative. I think he’s a bit touched and the sleepovers are silly but his satellite camps and spring break practices are innovative. Maybe the NCAA ought to limit this because the cost of maintaining competitive programs is way out of hand and the friends and family hiring practices should be stopped also but until they do I got to hand it Harbaugh, he rolls out one initiative after another. His ruthless recruiting has garnered much deserved criticism but other than that it has been one PR and recruiting coup after another, Harbaugh is a is a modern day PT Barnum who can coach like Bo.

The relationship with the ACC is a mistake.

ND to kept her independence in football and joined an attractive league for the other sports. So unless your ability to recruit and maintain a following within the Midwest is diminished over the years I think it was a smart move.
