The same thing happened last year except this year it is worse considering ND had the OSU game in hand

osu wasn't the barometer many think it was, they are a flawed team and a close loss at home isn't any sort of moral victory..ND was overrated to begin the year, and being outmuscled by the likes of Duke and Louisville only highlights that point..4-5 loss season incoming

Everyone is flawed, unless you are Georgia.

And Duke did not outmuscle Notre Dame. That's garbage.

relative to osu, which was and is the barometer many pointed to, Duke and Louisville were more physical...rushing yards, qb pressure and sacks, defense against the rush..actually nd and osu were both overrated to begin the season, you just happened to get exposed first

Ohio was at the start of the toughest four game gauntlet for the entire league for the entire season. We are not the same team we were 3 weeks ago.

I wouldn't say ND was overrated, maybe parts of the coaching staff were overrated....I would have loved to see this team operate with an extremely skilled OC and I believe we'd be looking at a different result. The play calling, schemes are suspect, far to antiquated and easy for defenses to read particularly without the threat of a running QB. To make matters worse Parker seems to struggle with in-game adjustments. If the downhill running game is working then great, but if not....oh boy it is going to be a long night for the offense- and we seem to struggle throwing variant formations and eye candy at the defense to get them to guess and confuse them. There is a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball that is severely underutilized, and the lack of formational sets and movement compared to what Tommy's team did last year is noticeable.

This antiquated pro-set offense, defenses are now picking up on it and selling out in the box to stop our downhill running game and sending the house. If we can't get a run game going when outnumbered in the box, then we're going to struggle each night. They've got to mix things up more and Parker needs to adjust.
