Ugly helmets ,cluttered , I hope they put these helmets somewhere. Does Kelly and staff have to approve the uniforms?

I quit commenting about the unies after the Miami game in Chicago. My opinion doesn't matter. Jack is going to do what he wants. I guess the players dig it. I'm a minimalist and a traditionalist, so, I guess I'm a wee bit out of touch with the times.

i actually really like them. they usually look better when worn in game too, so i think these may be 1 of the best they've done. which to some, that isnt that difficult.

I would like to see the gold of the helmet match the jersey's gold trim. And the "recruits love them" argument is pretty flimsy

BTW -- was basically just busting your chops! They are a little "different" this year. Sometimes, I think the more they try to "theme" the unis, the more off base it gets.

I'm all for changing the uniform for this one game. I absolutely love what Oregon does. But these Irish uniforms are kind of ugly. I think they could do a much better job.

Come on, Echo. If the players like them then what's wrong with once a year? It's just a change from the norm and those of us that are older just need to let it be. I kind of look forward to it.

I am fine with this once a year. What Oregon does is over the top.
Those fancy uniforms has done wonders for the Maryland program.

Ahhhh, I thought they looked like the Army uni. May be a tribute to the ND vs Army history since (it's been stated) ND pays tribute with their uniform to Navy.

I don't mind the design, but I dislike the color scheme, as I think it's ugly. Would have liked to have seen this design in the traditional blue and gold color scheme.

The way this uniform is being analyzed, dissected, and critiqued, one would think the actual game is secondary to a Paris fashion show.

I prefer the traditional uniforms. You know, the ones that date all the way back to Lou Holtz in the mid 80's.

I remember the ones they wore in 2012, I guess, when played Miami at Soldier Field. I thought they were hideous when unveiled, but when I watched the game, they kind of grew on me. So maybe the same will happen with these.

I actually like the uniforms we are wearing now, which are fairly close to the uniforms we wore when Ara was coach. I always liked the quirky fact that the pants didn't match the helmets, which, I guess, puts me in the minority. (They didn't match until Faust made the switch in '84.)
