ND 10 players

Correct, on the last two plays ONLY 10 defenders

INEXCUSABLE !

Maybe even unprecedentedly inexcusable. Has that EVER happened before? I don’t recall hearing about a team only having 10 men on two consecutive plays ever. I’ve watched A LOT of football too.

After a timeout

That's the special part

Good point.

I remember about 20 years ago, you’d always see a safety/punt returner counting out the number of players on a defense each play. I’m not blaming ANY player for that garbage, but what happened to that practice?

Freeman admitted in his press conference that he noticed it was 10 but didn't want the penalty.

Instead he let them run into a massive undefeated gap on the right side of the line.

Like there is a massive difference between the 1 and half yard line there.

A half yard penalty? If true, Freeman needs his head examined! That’s just being stupid

It’s not just that there were only 10 defenders on the field, it’s that there were only 10 defenders on the field at the most critical time of the game, with only 7 seconds left !

WHAT ?

On the two most critical plays of the game ?

The last 4 minutes of the game were as poorly handled by this coaching staff as I have seen.

The fact that they let 2 straight plays go with 10 players on the field and did nothing at the games most critical moment should cause for internal discussions about coaches immediate future with this team

I can honestly understand that. It shouldn’t have gotten to that point. But the player would have had to come from an offside position. Sprint into position.

Imagine if we tried that got the stop and then ended up with the penalty..

So again I don’t see a problem with that explanation.

Although he could’ve yelled for someone to get an encroachment or something before the snap

Whats wild is you would think there was time to get someone on the field after the incompletion?

No, you sprint directly towards the QB unabated. Dead ball foul
