Must read!

I think that is an article written in 1997 and recycled every 3-4 years.

The first statement, "Notre Dame has been losing ground for a while" sets the tone which should tell anyone the writer is uniformed. ND played in the MNC game three years ago, has been competitive while maintaining a high standard on and off the filed and in the classroom. They are NOT losing ground, they continue to win against the strongest of competition, even is it was gone down a rung since the ACC deal, and remain the school most in CFB judge themselves by. What a dumb article, ND Football does not need a conference!

I'm sure ND really cares what Dodd thinks. Regardless of what anyone thinks, ND will do what ND wants to do. That is a fact. If they feel joining a conference is in the best interest of the program and school maybe they will. But if they don't they won't. It's really that simple.

Cowardly article. Like Pat Forde said a few years ago, ND doesn't need to change. The other programs need to get on their level.

MSU plays cmu and wmu this season. What a joke. I don't see how they would be playing "13" games.

Dennis Dodd just made my list.

So far, my list reads as follows:

Dennis Dodd
Hitler
Ms. Salvatti (my 6th grade teacher)
Nole

I feel privileged. Thank you. I'm sure I'm the only one on your list who has never flamed ND, the coaching staff or players. Can't say that about half the fans here.

Your angst may be misdirected. But you are entitled to your opinion.

Mo1e never flamed ND?????? No, just spent a lifetime om this board lying about Notre Dame and trying to defend shitheads like Bowden and Jumbo! Too funny!
That's right dunce. You can't name a time I have ever flamed ND, it's coach or players without blatantly lying. Then again you can't use a keyboard without lying.

ND (being forced to) join a conference is like taking Chief Illiniwik away from the U. of Illinois.
ND must do what is best for ND (or @ least hold out independence as long as possible).
Your ideal scenario is to staunchly remain independent.
That is part of your tradition.

but

(just like with Chief Illiniwik) we don't live in an ideal world.
But good luck.
