Mike Tirico New Play by Play Announcer

He has done at least one. I thought he was the play by play guy in waiting for Al Michaels job.

Mike Tirico is a nice upgrade. He and Mayock would make a good tandem.

Gus Johnson would have probably been my first choice because I love how excited he gets during the broadcast and he does a nice job of bringing energy to big plays. Tirico is plenty solid though!

Dump Flutie next. He is terrible and Mayock won't stop talking.
Looks like we're stuck with Flutie for another year. What a BC homer joke! Love the Torico assignment. NBC never seems to totally get it though. Now they've rolled out Chris Simms to the on site team. Another in a never ending line of ex players who become self appointed "experts." Looks like must be a pay back to Chris.

Maybe BQ is too close to the program to be objective. He is a Domer to the soul and it may pain him to critique certain situations in a negative way. I have no problem doing it but I'm a nobody. He's Brady Quinn. BQ to Jeff S against UCLA for the win, late. Who can ever forget it?

I also think, even though I think he has no TV experience, but Tony Rice might be a good color man for ND games. I love hearing Allen Pinkett on the radio doing ND games.

In 2018, a Michigan season ticket holder (Mike Tirico), will be doing the pbp for an ND on NBC broadcast when the skunkbears come to town. Hmmmmmmm.

Yep, love Gus!

If you love Allen on the radio then you would really love the guy meeting him in person.

Quinn works for Fox Sports, so.....

My one wish in life is that Gus Johnson never announces an ND game...ever. If I have to listen to him yell "over the middle" 300 times a game....well, I suppose I wouldn't do anything but complain but I'd be pissed, haha!

I want to go old school when ESPN was a great sports network. Ron Franklin and Mike Gottfried. I loved their call of college football.
I forgot about them. They were far and away the top team in their era. Sadly it was ended by some trivial PC garbage that ushered in a new "norm" and continues to insure we now have mostly "waste of air space" broadcast teams.

I liked Keith Jackson and Ara the best.

He did the first few games last year, while Hicks was busy with golf. I think both Hicks and Tirico are good, but not crazy about Flutie. I just watched last year's Miami game and noticed his announcing style. He tends to focus on the offenses, but rarely talks about the defenses. I guess that's not surprising, considering he was a QB.
