Michigan reclaims top winning percentage today!

Kelly is smart not to play Michigan anymore and to keep Purdue as well as the service academics.

Harbaugh may be a scumbag, but he sure can coach football.

Got Stanford winning, then the 49ers, and now his alma mater.

ND needs to find someone like him (as coach not scumbag). I can't believe there aren't others.

there are, I'm just not sure they want to coach at ND. Urban supposedly turned down a $70million deal and chose OSU. I think ND is just going to have to get lucky.

I doubt NFL teams will want him back. He took the niners to the super bowl and 3 conference title games and was run outta town. why would they do that unless he's incredibly difficult to work with? I guess some desperate team will toss a huge offer at him, will he take it? we'll see. don't know why he would outside of pride though.

Hopefully the NFL is looking at him

He has already been in the NFL ... and one super bowl to boot (though he didn't win it) ... doubt he wants to return. Will probably stay at his alma mater until he retires, unless UM kicks him out for some reason.

Notre Dame's all-time wins & winning percentage rankings will start dropping like a rock as the Era of Mediocrity rolls on with no end in sight.

it was only rumored on another board. ND put out some feelers I guess to his "people" asking if he'd be interested in the ND job if they offered $70million over 10 yrs. Basically he turned them down without ever seriously talking it over. Again, this is rumored so obviously it might be inaccurate, but I'd be shocked if ND didn't at least attempt to throw out an offer like that at Urban.

Harbaugh hates ND with a passion! He isn't coming here...even if he could restore the football program.

Unfortunately, I am starting to buy into the ugly fact that ND may never return to the top. HATE saying that, but if Kelly is the best we can get, then it isn't going to happen. He's brought in many recruits with high to extremely high credentials, then they don't do crap here. All the Kelly lovers will point out that "no one else wanted the job"...well, it may be time to roll the dice on some guys who traditionally wouldn't be in the running for the HC'ing job.

Nah. Texas is something like 20 games (in baseball terms) behind you. That is a LOT of space. You would have a new coach before the Horns catch you.

Stanford has the blueprint that would work well with Notre Dame

Coach Sanford knows this style of offense I believei, but their defense as well. Someone has to know this with the temperament of being a HC at a place like ND

Watching coach Shaw orchestrate the end of the game was classic and not at one time did he lose his composure.

Yeah, l agree..David Shaw is a ROCK...steady, smart, and composed..and NEVER loses his cool l watched the UCLA game last night and AT NO TIME did l ever think UCLA would win that game..did you see Shaw punt with 4 mins left? That guy was cool as a cucumber..he had Mora in a panic (and Mora new it)..even when the Bruins were playing great D and shutting Stanford down, they just kept pushin' and pushin..Shaw is a MASTER TECHNICIAN.

.

Um, we'll be visiting 9/1/2018. Harbaugh and Holtz seem to get along just fine, and Kelly and Harbaugh wanted to get ND-Michigan game back on the schedule. Not sure where that is coming from.

Harbaugh wanted to re-start the series only with bad intentions, though. You gotta know that.

k. Paying $2M to Arkansas to get ND back on the schedule, playing ND at ND first, thus keeping Ohio State, Michigan State and ND on the same home-away sequence... If you can find an anti-nd agenda in that, I would like to hear it.

I watched that game as well and had this same exact impression

Wait until Les Miles takes over Mich when Khaki Pants goes back to the pros.

I think there's some truth to this

I'm not 100% sure call coach is done with the NFL especially with his brother still coaching there and having a Super Bowl ring as head coach

The bad intention is that he wants to beat ND really badly, that's all.
