So sad to see him still fighting his demons. Hopefully this latest DUII arrest will be enough to have him get the help he needs. I also hope that the Pats stick by him and help him. The guy has great talent.

Both pleased and embarrassed to see him wearing his ND cap when arrested.

being human doesnt excuse someone from putting people's lives in danger, which is what he did. He had drank so much he fell asleep at the wheel, this wasnt had a few and it was a little over the legal limit. You know damn well if some guy was arrested wearing an Alabama hat you'd be laughing about it.

Because God knows we've never seen a drunk guy wearing a Notre Dame cap.

He had to wear that ND beanie...so many bad looks for nd off the field this year. His police video is headlining SC right now.

I definitely enjoy drinking.... but he needs to get help.
not sure if being picked up by another team right away is the best thing for him...rather like to see him go into rehab...or some place..

Sometimes having a job is a good distraction in times like these.

He's a multi millionaire .. still just 27 .. and has a BA from the university of notre dame.

He'll be fine. But he needs to start calling an Uber ... the reason a lot of these alcoholics continue to drive is because they are constantly getting drunk when alcohol is around in any social situation and they don't want people to notice their alcoholism. He can't afford to do that anymore or he's going to end up in jail for a long time. After 3 DUIs it becomes a felony in a lot of states.

FULL DISCLAIMER: I in no way, shape, or form condone drinking and driving and what he's done... but:

I have a different perspective to offer...

He did just play a game (not sure where, but sounded like he flew back in) - time zones = jet lag. Add a few drinks of alcohol (wine...? If he wasn't lying). He may have honestly had a few drinks and just fell asleep from fatigue. And being questioned the minute after you were just completely passed out doesn't make the video better. It became much more clear as the video goes on (and he's "waking up") that he's much more coherent or "sobered".

Just playing devils advocate. Some are casting the net that this is "manziel-esque" alcohol problem that he has... it'd be more documented than some drinks in college and a dui 3 years later.

Hoping if he does have an alcohol problem, that it gets fixed, and that he gets back on track with the Pats. Such an amazing talent, to be lost to alcohol. Just my 2 cents.

I am absolutely up to here with these NFL / NBA players. Arrests, kneeling down drama kings, self important - self anointed spokesmen of the nation's social ills. Only they don't know much other than what is on twitter and TMZ. Yes, MF probably needs help and football may be part of that treatment in the right environment, but, I have little sympathy for how badly he was intoxicated before and now. Innocent families are on the road too. They deserve to have half a chance to get home safely.

How is the protest during the national anthem related to Michael Floyd's Dui?

Wont learn a lesson until something is taken away from him like is profession or freedom... Patriots only enabled when signing him... if he kills someone they should be sent to prision

Domer or no Domer, there are families on the road, including little ones, the same time this dude is driving around highly intoxicated. Get yourself some damn help before you hurt some innocent family. This has been going on way too long with this guy. My wife's maternal grandparents were both killed, head on, by a drunk behind the wheel. He survived. Experienced the devastation first hand of what it does to the family. To me, this is serious and it goes way beyond another Pats Super Bowl. Hopefully the Pats organization sees the big picture.
