Nepo babies, gotta love it! Family has it's place in the fabric of western society, but you start in with the favoritism, what they call 'nepotism', out in the wider world, just because you can, and you're the boss, not only is it un-American, you just might pay the price for it. In a big corporation even if your son's a bimbo, you can hide it, and it doesn't have to take the whole operation down. But in sports, it's a little bit more immediate. Even worse when with sports your actual physical genetics would often play a huge role, as well as all that extra coaching from birth. But sometimes it's still not enough.
I always thought playing for your dad would be kind of weird. Awesome in a way, but there'd also be a strong impulse to leave the nest as it were. And be your own man. But the guy was highly recruited, at least by ND's standards.
