Marquette is a solid team. ND is currently a rag tag team made up of freshmen, transfers and walk ons. But they're learning (at least I hope they are).

The program was in sad shape when Shrewsberry took over. The rebuild is going to be a difficult one. I hope Shrewsberry has patience.

He has plenty of time. Freeman is 2 years in and a lackluster 17-9, and the fanbase is still blaming the previous coach. who won 44 of his last 50 games.

Brey went 11-21 last year. so, by my math Shrewsberry has at least 5 years before anyone holds him accountable for anything.

Everybody knew what coach Shrews was signing up for. As long as future recruits aren't concerning themselves with what the record looks like and just look at the possibilities for success he will have ND basketball back to competing at a high level in 3 years. He can coach, he has limited options now with this roster but just seeing this team trying on defense is a major improvement already.
