Notre Dame men's basketball plans to host 2025 small forward prospect E.J. Walker on Aug. 26. I heard directly from Walker on Monday afternoon and he confirmed that date.
Walker, a 6-foot-7, 225-pound small forward, is currently unrated and unranked according to Rivals. However, he's up to 20 total offers including Arizona State, California, Minnesota, Ohio State, Purdue, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Xavier and Virginia Tech. He’s also receiving interest from Cincinnati, Indiana, LSU, Louisville, Michigan State, Missouri, Texas and Virginia.
Walker’s primary recruiter thus far has been Notre Dame associate head coach Kyle Getter. The Irish monitored him this spring and summer and now plan to further their relationship when he steps foot on campus. He may receive an offer during his visit, or head coach Micah Shrewsberry and his staff may wait and evaluate him into his junior season this winter.
This spring, Walker competed on the Nike EYBL grassroots basketball circuit with Brad Beal Elite. In July, Walker played on the Adidas 3SSB grassroots basketball circuit with Midwest Basketball Club. He attends Erlanger (Ky.) Llyod Memorial.
He told me he's set up additional visits to Minnesota on Sept. 9 and Missouri on Oct. 7. He's already visited the Gophers once this summer. Wisconsin also hosted him on a visit in June.
