Notre Dame men's basketball is currently hosting 2024 center James Brown on an official visit. The 6-foot-10, 223-pound junior from Chicago's St. Rita is arguably the top priority for Notre Dame in the 2024 class. Rivals rates him as a four-star recruit and ranks him as the No. 29 overall prospect in his class.
Brown's in the middle of his using five junior year official visits. Notre Dame is the fourth program to host him for an official visit after Missouri, Michigan State and North Carolina. Illinois expects to receive Brown's fifth official visit. Brown also made an unofficial visit to Notre Dame in September.
Notre Dame has been unable to add a big man to the 2023 class, so the need for Brown is high. The Irish have a legitimate shot in this recruitment against some real heavy hitters.
