The Players Era Tournament in Las Vegas is underway.
Houston and Alabama needed overtime to settle its game, so now the court can get cleared for the Irish (4-1) to take the court against Rutgers (4-1).
Both Notre Dame and Rutgers are coming off upset losses. The Irish fell at home to Elon, 84-77, on Friday. The Scarlet Knights lost 79-77 at Kennesaw State on Sunday.
Rutgers is led by freshman Dylan Harper. The 6-foot-6 guard is averaging 19.8 points, 5.2 assists and 5 rebounds to start his career.
Fellow freshman Ace Bailey, a 6-10 wing, is averaging 19 points and 5.7 rebounds after missing the first two games of the season.
Notre Dame is expected to stick with its starting five: guards Markus Burton, Braeden Shrewsberry and Matt Allocco and forwards Tae Davis and Kebba Njie.
