The Wolfpack (15-5, 5-4) may be without leading scorer Terquavion Smith, a sophomore guard who was deemed day-to-day after leaving Saturday's game with neck and elbow pain and right arm numbness. Smith averaged 18.7 points and 4.5 assists per game.
NC State also relies on 6-foot-1 guard Jarkel Joiner (16.3 ppg) and 6-3 guard Casey Morsell (12.9). The Wolfpack has been particularly good at scoring (79 points per game) and 3-point defense (30.0% shooting allowed). That's a pretty good recipe to counter a Notre Dame team that leans on 3-pointers (9.2 makes per game) and allows 71.4 points per game.
Dane Goodwin has been Notre Dame's most consistent scorer with double figures in each of the last eight games. He's averaged 13.4 points in that stretch. Goodwin scored 12 and 17 in wins over NC State last season.
