2023 shooting guard commit Braeden Shrewsberry was announced as a member of the Pennsylvania sportswriters Class 6A All-State 1st team Wednesday.
Shrewsberry led State College (Pa.) Area High to a 25-3 record and averaged 17.4 points, 4.7 assists and 3.8 assists per game. He scored 20 or more points in 12 games.
Shrewsberry made his commitrment to the Irish and his father, head coach Micah Shrewsberry, official Monday. He is rated as a three-star recruit and ranked as the No. 40 shooting guard in the 2023 recruiting class.
Micah congratulated his son on Twitter.
Braeden is also one of 25 finalists for Pennsylvania's Mr. Basketball. The winner will be announced on May 27.
