Markese ran for 249 yards on 29 carries and scored 4 TD's last night as his Cathedral Irish won their 12th consecutive sectional title. As Rockne would say, he ran inside 'em and outside 'em! If he can stay healthy the Irish will continue their outstanding running back tradition.

I would still like to get a 5 star RB. Im not sold on the other RB we got. We have 20 wide receivers and we keep recruiting them so why not 3 RB recruits. With half of the NCAA coaches getting fired and our top 4 ranking this is perfect timing to land another gem.

Believe me, if Markese had been healthy his junior and senior season, he might have been a 5 star. He's 6'2, 223 lbs, and runs a sub 4.4. He's strong, shifty and fast.

Smith (the other RB) is the type of runner ND needs to compliment its offense. I know a lot of people are impressed with his inside running. Stepp is a stud. If he stays healthy he will be a good one.
You have to remember that ND gets quality RBs (Stepp & Smith both top 15) along with quality OLinenan. Combined that is better than one 5* guy. Josh Adams & the current OL are a perfect example of this.

We have Adams, Williams, TJ, Deon, Holmes, Stepp ans Smith next year. Even with Adams leaving early, we have numbers.

I think the receiver numers we have is deceptive because we have eliminated the scat slot. Finke, Young, Canteen and Sanders won'r see the field much. We are recruiting over them with jumbo guys.

Don't want Adams to leave early, but I'm excited to see Dex and Deon get a bunch of carries next year.

after the Georgia game our irish became the leader for a top 12 rated rb from the Miami florida area I believe after his unofficial visit for the game. the kid has a second gear as well as a great offers list with offers from schools like Michigan and several other top schools. the coaches are pushing hard to get a speedster type rb in the 2019 class to go with stepp and the other guy from Carolina. they also had one of the top three rated all purpose rbs in from Memphis TN for the UGA game but haven't heard anything on him since the loss. IIO may have more on these two 2019 kids than I do if he reads this

Don’t forget Jones.
If Josh turns pro Jones will be the starting, every down type, RB for ND.

I don’t know if you are talking about McIntosh? Deon’s little brother? He is a top 50 player in the country & elite RB. ND didn’t look like they were going to get much of a look from him, but that has changed over the past few weeks, especially with his brother getting carries. He was at the game last week & really had a great time.

Board seems to have soured on Jones, but when healthy, he is a talent. His pass catching and blocking are outstanding on top of his running. I expect he and Dexter to continue this year’s rushing assault offense. But, Adams is the man of the hour and we have business to take care of today. Go Irish.

I have heard on a number of podcasts now that the TJ we are seeing on the field now is not the same guy they saw in the spring. It is assumed he has been playing through injury all year. The implication is that a healthy TJ can be the bell cow back but he is not as likely to break the long run.

Williams, Holmes and McIntosh are the big chunk play guys. I think TJ, Stepp and Smith are best at pounding you and the others best at big plays. McIntosh has shown some ability to do both.
