Anyone here know why it is being reported that ND is backing off Vann? Does the coaching staff feel like they don't have a good chance with him?

Word on the street is Elko doesn't think he fits his system and he is after a taller better pass rusher. Malik would already be Irish if Elko wanted him.

Cool man. He is a good prospect but if ir doesn't fit then I trust what the coaches are looking for.
yeah this sounds like a situation where the coaches decided that what they project his skillset to be at the next level they already have, and have a great chance w/ Mustipher as well. I would have been happy to have him, but w/ that kind of reasoning i'm not tore up that we're passing. Now this also assumes that we land another DE and Mustipher too.
