FSU Football commit Malik Henry no longer at IMG Academy
Malik Henry, the No. 3 rated Quarterback in the 2016 class and FSU commit, has left the IMG Academy program just four months after transferring for his senior season.
Henry, a consensus five-star prospect, was a two-year starter at Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks, California before announcing his transfer to IMG. In his two years at Westlake, Henry amassed 4,413 passing yards with 36 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
Henry announced his commitment to Florida State last November and shortly after that announced that he would be transferring to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida for his senior season in an effort to be closer to his collegiate destination of FSU. He was not alone in this as fellow 2016 FSU commit, tight end Isaac Nauta, also transferred to IMG from his high school in Georgia and Shavar Manuel, an FSU target from the 2016 class, is also enrolled there.

Sources say that in the wake of coach Chris Weinke leaving to take the St. Louis Rams QB coaching position, Henry clashed with the new coaching staff and had recurring attitude and maturity issues.
With the departure before he played a single game at IMG, Henry is likely headed back to California for his senior season with the reasons for his departure from IMG still to be announced. Sources tell Tomahawk Nation that Henry is reaching out to high schools in California.
Henry, who has drawn comparisons to Jameis Winston, had previously announced that he planned on early enrolling at FSU this upcoming January to give himself the best chance at earning the starting job for the 2016 season. The good news for FSU fans is that it seems unlikely that this sudden change in Henry's senior season plans will affect his status as a Seminole
