Here are tonight's Lucky Charms...

*** It's still probably a long shot that Notre Dame lands Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei class of 2022 wide receiver CJ Williams, but there's some reason for optimism. I believe Notre Dame is running around No. 3-5 in Williams' recruitment, which isn't bad at all at this stage of his recruitment. Notre Dame got in on Williams' recruitment early in the process, and he was booked to visit South Bend last spring before the pandemic shut that down. His conversations with Irish receivers coach Del Alexander have been consistent and productive, and I'm told that Williams really wants to get to Notre Dame this spring.

*** This might end up being a recruitment where the dead period really screws Notre Dame, but if Williams does end up getting to South Bend -- whether it be for a self-guided tour or after the dead period lifts (whenever that may be) -- then watch out for Notre Dame. Williams is a borderline five-star prospect who holds around 50 scholarships, so obviously it's going to be a tough pull, but Alexander and Co. are working here.

*** Quick update on Shillington (Pa.) Governor Mifflin Senior class of 2022 running back Nicholas Singleton... I'm told that running backs coach Lance Taylor had a productive call with Singleton recently, and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees spoke with Singleton's father and they connected well. Singleton is one of Notre Dame's top backs on the 2022 board.

*** Notre Dame hadn't had much contact with Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany class of 2022 defensive back Ephesians Prysock for a while, but that has changed just in the past week. New Notre Dame safeties coach Chris O'Leary has been in contact with Prysock, a four-star prospect. Here's an update on Prysock from Rivals.com's Adam Gorney this week.

*** I'm not quite ready to put in a FutureCast pick in for Notre Dame to land Buffalo (N.Y.) Western Maritime class of 2022 wide receiver Addison Copeland yet, but Rivals.com's Mike Farrell and Ryan Patti from our Rutgers sister site did so in the past week. Click here for more on Copeland.

*** Omaha (Neb.) Burke class of 2022 linebacker Devon Jackson will narrow his list down to five schools on Friday. I'm told that Jackson and Notre Dame defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman have connected very well in the past month. I'd be stunned if Notre Dame isn't listed among Jackson's top schools.
