Here are tonight's Lucky Charms...

*** Notre Dame is kicking the tires again on Union (N.J.) High cornerback Davison Igbinosun. The Irish offered him earlier this year but cooled on him, and he committed to Rutgers. His recruitment heated up this fall with new scholarship offers as he's been impressive as a senior, and Notre Dame has been in some contact of late with Igbinosun, who backed off his Rutgers pledge last week. If Notre Dame goes hard after Igbinosun, I think they have a great shot to land him, but the staff hasn't made that call yet. Some SEC schools are picking up their interest of the 6-3, 185-pounder.

*** Notre Dame special teams coordinator Brian Polian is spending time in Utah and California this week and will wrap up his travels Friday with a stop in Indianapolis to see Cathedral class of 2023 defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert play on Friday night. The 6-5, 270-pounder is a player I'm considering putting in a FutureCast pick for in favor of the Irish, but I don't want to rush that, as I don't believe the staff is rushing it. Defensive line coach Mike Elston and Co. are continuing to look at and offer new 2023 interior defensive line recruits, including Saint James (Md.) School's Devan Houstan, another 6-5, 270-pounder per Rivals, on Wednesday. Notre Dame joined Maryland and Central Michigan on Houstan's offer sheet.

*** In the 2021 recruiting class, Notre Dame landed a commitment from a three-star tight end who it planned to turn into a tackle. Joe Alt. This week, Notre Dame is inquiring about Boston (Mass.) College High's Johnny Garrett, a three-star tight end who is committed to Virginia Tech likely to play offensive tackle. I reported a couple days ago that offensive line coach Jeff Quinn would be in Boston, so I'd assume that Quinn stopped at Garrett's high school today. He'll be someone to keep a close eye on moving forward.

*** I removed Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei class of 2024 quarterback Elijah Brown from the visitor list for the USC game. He was planning to come in with 2024 wide receiver Jack Ressler and 2023 quarterback Nico Iamaleava from what I heard. I'm really not sure if Iamaleava is going to visit next weekend guys.
