Here are tonight's Lucky Charms...

*** Notre Dame fired out a new running back offer in the 2021 class today. Del Valle (Texas) High's Tavierre Dunlap was the recipient of the scholarship, and the Irish joined the likes of Arkansas, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, USC, Utah, Virginia Tech and Washington on his offer sheet. Interestingly enough, Dunlap is from Schaumburg, Ill in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He moved down to Texas in 2010. He reports a 3.5 GPA and a 1160 SAT -- this is clearly a strong student. One source told me that Dunlap is a "phenomenal" young man.

*** The 6-foot, 205-pounder averaged more than 10 yards per carry last season, amassing 1,328 yards and 20 touchdowns on just 128 rushes. He added 20 catches for 208 yards and three more scores in the passing game. Over the last two seasons, Dunlap has run for nearly 2,800 yards and 37 TDs. Dunlap isn't planning to make a decision until this fall. I'm hoping to catch up with Dunlap soon to get his thoughts on the offer he received from Notre Dame's Brian Polian, who recruits Texas for the Irish.

*** I posted this article on Rivals100 defensive end TJ Bollers, where he broke down the offer from the Irish. He told me that he might consider pushing back his commitment timeline of early June to give the Irish a look. Bollers communicated a different -- but similar -- timeline with Rivals.com's Josh Helmholdt in an interview today.

“I’ll probably still push for an early June, mid-(June decision),” Bollers said. “With the Notre Dame offer (Tuesday), I am going to make sure I can check them out so I can make sure I am making the right decision. Then, we’ll go from there.”

*** Notre Dame is interested in Littleton (Colo.) Heritage class of 2021 tight end Erik Olsen, a four-star prospect. Arizona State, Nebraska, UCLA, Utah, Iowa State, Cal, Stanford, Washington, Kansas State and Colorado make up his top 10 schools list. It will be very interesting to see if the Irish expand the tight end board with an offer to Olsen. If they take a second tight end in the 2021 class, it's because the staff thinks he's a true big-time player.

*** I tossed in a FutureCast pick for south Florida WR Jaden Alexis to land at Texas. Notre Dame offered the speedster in late March and tried to make some headway, but it's looking like he'll end up with the Longhorns.
