Here are tonight's Lucky Charms...
*** The 2021 recruiting class is at the forefront for the Notre Dame coaching staff, but there's plenty of attention to prospects in the 2022 class as well. I'm told that the Irish are looking at a pair of running backs from Georgia in Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton's Jordan McDonald and Buford (Ga.) High's Victor Venn. McDonald, a 6-0, 200-pounder, already holds offers from the likes of Florida State, LSU and Michigan State, while Venn, a 5-9, 165-pounder, lists Arizona State, Georgia Tech and USC on his offer sheet. Venn is teammates with 2021 running back Gabe Ervin, who the Irish could offer in the next few weeks.
*** Another 2022 prospect in the Peach State to watch is Bainbridge (Ga.) High's Deon Bouie, a 5-11, 167-pound four-star cornerback. Notre Dame has been busy dishing out 2022 DB offers in recent weeks, and Bouie certainly fits the profile of an offer candidate from a talent standpoint. The likes of Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Oregon have already extended scholarships to him.
*** Ranked as a four-star prospect, class of 2022 offensive tackle Will Campbell is getting a look from Notre Dame. The Irish may want to offer sooner than later if they want to have a shot here, as the Monroe (La.) Neville stud prospect already holds 33 offers and is considered an early LSU lean.
*** A couple of other notable, highly ranked 2022 offensive line prospects with Notre Dame interest are Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian's Zach Rice and Duncanville (Texas) High's Cameron Williams. Rice stands at 6-6, 275 pounds while Williams is listed at 6-6, 320 pounds. They are both big-time and have elite offer lists.
*** A quick note on Atlanta Marist safety Joshua Moore who we've covered a good bit this week. I went ahead and tossed in a FutureCast pick for Moore to land at Stanford. It looks like he wants to lock in a spot with the Cardinal. During a normal cycle, I think the Irish would've had a much better shot here if they would've been able to get him on campus. I'm still not calling this recruitment completely over in favor of Stanford, but I feel confident enough to toss in the FC pick.
