Louis Nix has a team...

Put Nix on the practice squad..gets about 7,000 a week for about 18 weeks .
Watched Nix 3 times .He started many pre season games in place of the injured Butch Wilfork .,Nix didn't impress and O'Brien gave him every chance . From Houston news.

If Nix by chance makes the 53 man Giant team ,he would earn in the neighborhood of 400,000 .

Has he recovered from his knee surgery ? Or is it more of work ethic ?. Out of shape and needs to shed a lot of pounds.

pretty sure given the waiver rules he's there at least for this week. after that who knows. he doesn't have enough tenure to be guaranteed a whole seasons salary if he is released after this week.

actually by claiming him on waivers the giants also inherit his current contract whatever that is. giants also responsible for the cost of his relocation.

I've said it before. He should have played out his college eligibility. He would have arrived at the next level bigger and stronger. He might still have been injured, but he might not have, and he would have an MBA just in case.

Apparently Bill O;Brien wanted him to rehab in Texas but instead he went home to Florida. O'Brien said something to the effect that he isn't going to know what the hell to do on his own. Not a good career move for Nix.
