Considering Tae was a transfer portal pickup 2 years ago -- this may be a concerning aspect.
Why is the transfer portal open while the NCAA Tournament is still going on? Why not keep it closed until the season is over.
Just my opinion, but I think the transfer portal is killing college sports. Saw a video somewhere, that back when Miami made it to the final 4, after the season 8 of its players entered the portal. How is a coach supposed to develop any continuity and plan for the next year? And the fans ... with players coming and going, how are they to develop loyalties?
Well I'll tell ya what. I don't know how the men can contend in the ACC again if we lose top players like this every season. It's impossible. I know we have some good players coming in, but we are going to get thrashed again next season unless these freshman are like the fab 5.
I miss having a good men's team. I miss driving UNC and Duke fans crazy when notre dame takes them down.
Folks, I don't think we are beating Duke for a very long time.
It makes zero sense. The semester is in swing...go to school.....if you want to play pro ball play in the G league. There is time in April to have a transfer portal for those looking to enroll in summer semesters...not now.
College needs to get on with paying players directly I guess and have them sign contracts....I hate it but I also hate one and done...constant transfers....want to play College Basketball or Football? Sign here......no draft for NBA or NFL until after year 3. Don't want to wait that long? Play in the G league or minor leagues but you can't play NCAA.
I dont know, man. I'm pretty sure it's a zero sum game, unless these guys are transferring to schools in Europe or something. Sucks for Miami, but good for some other team. And most players don't transfer. In ND's case it's only two so far.
