The question becomes, is ND going play along. I believe they will as it's a more structured approach to compensating athletes vs NIL.

"The complaint asserts that all 350 NCAA Division I schools are violating Black students’ civil rights by colluding to cap compensation. The NCAA limits what schools can offer athletes in terms of scholarship money and largely prohibits any direct pay to players."

Gotta love that. I guess the white and Pacific Islander players are not being violated?

Until the players form a union, it will be the wild wild west wrt NIL deals. You won't have rules until there is collective bargaining.

I believe they’ve changed their tune a bit now that some serious donations have been made by proponents of big time football and embracing the evolution of CFB.
$$$ changes minds. If this ends up happening and ND went all in on this, with their deep pockets ND could be the Yankees of college football.

It would be a league of Texas Michigan Notre Dame A&M(if they could get shit figured out) maybe Ohio State.. it would definitely tip the scales in CFB.

Not many other schools with deep pockets that could afford to pay top dollar. Imagine flat out paying 150k just to sign with a school and making a few million a year in college.. they’d be getting top 5 classes every year.

LSU Bama etc wouldn’t be able to compete.

Signing them to a 4-5 year contract, it would be crazy. NIL would just be the gravy, that they could get on their own.

not cf any longer; no interest; and IT WILL NOT HAPPEN

I just do not see it happening. At least not on the scale some here are hoping it will happen.

Employees get fired for poor performance, can’t imagine players would like that very much.
