Todd McShay and Scout Inc. have Nick Martin as the 5th best OL draft eligible prospect. He could be looking at the first center off the board and a second round pick. To make McShay right, Martin is going to have to play very well.

I would love to see him make McShay look like a genius. That wouldn't be so bad for what was called an undersized 3 star recruit.

If he is that good our OL will be stellar . I looked at the committment list of Mich St and it is predominantly 3 star kids . 3 star kids like Martin C Robinson Procise Schmidt are critical to the success of any college football team.

When Kelly won 23 reg season games his last two yrs @ UCINN he did it with mostly three star and two star kids . The conference ( Big East ) at the time was beating C Weis and the Irish like a drum ( Syr - UCONN _ PItt ) .
I know higher rated kids is important but for a savvy talent evaluator 3 stars are critical to the success of a program . To the internet sages who crap on these kids I will ask the following question - how would you like entering this season without
  • Nick Martin
  • CJ Procise
  • C Brown
  • C Robinson
  • J Schmidt
  • M Farley
  • D Cage
Last comment on the subject -- do the people who shit on 3 star recruits know anything about these kids ie attitude - work ethic etc also someone please explain the tangible differences between a 5.7 three star and 5.8 4 star recruit ?

Fl St will start a 3 star @ QB this yr -- USC has a 3 star QB on its commitment list this season

Presently Bama has eight 3 stars on its commitment list for 2016 and 1 - 5 star
