We have had a dry spell in recruiting since all the political threads have been posted !
I have a feeling we are going to get the number one recruiting class this year after we have a miraculous 2017 on the field !! Lets stay focused !! We need to get more 5 stars and make Chase happy !!

No reason to think a top ten, maybe even a top 5 class is in store......IF......ND wins some big games against the likes of UGA, Mich St, USC, Stanford, Miami. They don't have to win them all, 3 or 4 of the five and not getting gashed on defense to the point the game is not competitive will do. 10-2, 11-1 and a BOWL WIN will do the job and keep recruits feeling good about the future. Maybe even use the highly recruited offensive line to punch some of their opponents in the face and run the ball because, well, they just want to and you can't stop them. I also hope the new offensive coordinator recognizes ND has some pretty good TE's and decides to use them. If these things come to fruition, ND has a chance to land a very good to great class. IMO The product on the field will dictate this class in 2018 and 19.

The Irish have the talent and now the experience to dominate. Elko is the key. If he can get the defense in line we will BE GREAT !

Tough beginning stretch for the Irish. Gotta beat Georgia at home week 2. Back to back road games against BC and Mich State are going to be physical. It will be tough to win both of those. Hopefully we can win 2 out of those 3 teams then beat Miami Ohio and NC before the bye week and have 2 weeks to prepare for the showdown with USC.

First, we have to fight the good fight against the dishonest media in D.C. Once we totally obliterate the fake news individuals we can focus on making ND basketball even better and the football program great again.

what does everybody think of jim harbaugh and his continued shady recruiting since were talking recruiting. a writer on espn wrote a story this week calling out harbaugh and Michigan for just hiring a high school football coach who just happens to have a son who is rated as one of the top dual threat qb in the nation for the 2019 class. this isn't the first time harbaugh has hired a high school coach who just happens to coach a highly rated player that everybody wants

Thats how college basketball works. Colleges will hire the kids AAU coach for some position to get the kid.

you are right but it shouldn't be allowed. the ncaa needs to step in and not allow coaches like harbaugh and others to hire coaches or fathers of AAU players or football players without their not being a penalty for it like them not being able to recruit kids from that team or school for so many years after they hire that coach

here is harbaugh firing back at espn writer finebaum

Pete Finebaum, the unabashed SEC water carrier, really needs to get his facts straight. #AlternativeFacts

No worries. Micah Jones is going Irish today. Wiltfong, Ivins and Loy put in CB'S for Braden Lenzy to ND yesterday, Kam Babb is on campus this weekend and John Dirksen and Ryan Hayes both got CB'S to ND as well.

I put Finebaum in the same bucket with Cowherd, Stephen A Smith, Skip Bayless (and I am sure there a few others I am missing) -- anytime they speak, I turn the station. There has not been a time that I was impressed with anything they have said.

As much as it is irritating, it is allowed rules wise - so of course he will continue doing it. Ben Simmons (basketball) went to LSU for a year because of a similar situation (relative hired by coaching staff). Sooner or later the rest of the coaches will pick up on this loop hole and start hiring family members as assistants for those top rated kids. Makes no sense and there needs to be some attention paid to this eventually.

Bodi, I just got my alumni Express Feedback questionnaire (the new one with the emotion faces) from Lou Nanni. After venting about my displeasure with the direction of the football program and how poorly ND positions its advertising during half time, I suggested they contact you and do a interview for a commercial demonstrating how the spirit of ND, whether graduates or fans, is indomitable even during tough times. If they call, I want to be your PR coordinator. We'll make a fortune.

Why would your old high school care about ND football? To tell you the truth, didn't realize you graduated from high school. Kind of had you pegged as a high school drop out.

The only real argument I can think of is this.....What will stop a coach from hiring a family member for a BS job with the only intention being to pay money to him/her so that their son attends that school? Then once the kid is gone, they part ways. Isn't that in essence the same as just handing the parents some cash for their kid to attend?

I love harbaugh. He's a total competitor which I respect. And if I'm not wrong he worked with the coach before and he has a decent resume
