Predictions heading into week 9. I'll bump this as the weeks go on. Should be interesting to see how wild the last 5 weeks will be and how wrong we all were.

1. Ohio St
2. Clemson
3. Bama
4. ND (gotta homer pick here, praying nobody in big 12 finishes undefeated)

the way it is looking

B10
B12
SEC
ACC

but ND gets a major bowl with a W over SU.

I think you are right unless the PAC 12 champ and the ACC champ has 1 loss. In that case look for the PAC 12 to get the nod probably over the ACC but maybe over the Big 12. Notice the committee has more members with a tie to the PAC 12 than any other league with 3, SEC & B1G each have 2 and the ACC & Big 12 1 each.

I have said this in another thread, all 3 of the SEC, B1G & PAC 12 want future ACC/ND & Big 12 schools for expansion. In years they can justify their picks and not have it be an egregious error I believe they will do so, you may see an alliance between those 3 leagues.

Would love for ND to be number 4 and Clemson 1. rematch would be awesome!

I would like to see Ohio State, Bama, and Clemson along with ND - if you want to be the best you need to beat the best

Oklahoma/Oklahoma St. winner
Iowa
LSU
ND/Stanford winner
TCU's defense will let them down eventually. ND vs LSU for the National title.

As bad as I hate it......i think Bama is picking up steam and is more balanced on offense than LSU is at the moment. (More of a solid passing game which LSU hasn't needed yet) At first I had LSU winning that battle, but now I'm thinking Bama wins it in a close one and the winner representing the SEC in the playoff.

For some reason I think NC State could scare Clemson tomorrow and possibly beat them. If that happens I think they lose to FSU as well and the eventual ACC winner (im gonna say FSU if Cook stays healthy once he gets back to 100% with his ankle/leg/whatever it is) gets left out of the playoff after Florida thumps FSU by a good margin and hands them their 2nd loss.

And all the while I'm gonna be a homer and let my heart predict (never smart) that ND goes undefeated until the Stanford game then slithers by the Cardinals in a close one and leaps into the playoffs.

And it may be crazy to entertain the idea that Oklahoma will end up beating all 3 undefeated teams in the Big12, but I don't suppose it's impossible. Could very well happen....and with that resume at the end of the season the committee would have a hard time saying that they aren't playing the Top 4 best ball in the country. But this is all hypothetical and isn't likely to happen.

So with all that BS I just drummed up in my head I'm gonna say:

OSU
Bama
TCU or Oklahoma (can't decide)
ND

Bama is home for LSU.

playoffs or no playoff, I hope ND gets a bowl to play from following list:
Bama
LSU
Ole Miss
UF
Baylor
UCLA
Ok
TCU
Clemson

Stanford will probably face ND and USC (conf. Champs game ) to end it's season. Tough ending.

looks like an All Conference playoff picture

Presently?
Baylor (the qb getting injured is irrelevant to this point as the backup playing will determine their fate)
Baylor would be #1 if I had to vote today.
Clemson #2
Ohio st. #3
TCU#4

Michigan st. and TCU got very lucky to still be undefeated. They could be flipped.

The three best one loss teams in no order
Stanford, Notre Dame, Alabama

I think the bias of the committee will be to only have one team from each conference unless there is a very compelling reason to have multiple teams.

No doubt that Baylor and tcu will eliminate each other if they continue unscathed.
I'm just saying to date...that is my 1,2,3,4

as of this morn

ND and and Oklahoma vie for the 4th spot.

tOSU, Bama, and Clemson just need to avoid upsets and they are in.

Okla. finishes with Baylor, TCU and OSU: a very strong finish! (edit a/c no conf champ. game) but very strong finish. It is how you finish.

LSU predictions are done. Baylor and TCU are very long shots right now.

Okla. finishes with Baylor, TCU and OSU: a very strong finish! AND then a championship game while ND sits! Watch where they move this week, if they get to 5 or 6 they are the big threat!
No championship game and the whole conference blows!

The way I see it now, 15nov:

OSU - goes undefeated and is Big Ten champs.

Bama - one loss keeps them second

Notre Dame - 11-1 against a tough SOS.

Oklahoma- 11-1, finishes strong and wins the Big 12.

Pac 12 Champs, USC and UNC, ACC champs get left behind.

...so remove Baylor, remove LSU.

Clemson (UNC scares me though in acc championship. Could beat Clemson bad and throw things into disarray)
Alabama (eye test, but they really don't have a signature win with LSU looking bad vs razorbacks. SEC grossly overrated this year)
Notre Dame
OSU

Agreed ND ,Clemson, OSU and Bama. Are the best teams in the country with the fewest weaknesses.

Just for fun, but possible, I'll go a different direction.

Alabama
Notre Dame
Oklahoma
Iowa

I've checked the schedules, I do believe its possible.
