A balanced offense would seem to be the best. Run sets up the pass and the pass sets up the run. Use as many forms of attack as your team is able to master.

Correct sir, air raid and spread offensive level the playing field for smaller schools, there is just less defensive talent to go around, while a couple of good receivers and a good QB are easier to find.

WSU was a Big Sky level team when Leach got there as things had been falling apart with no elite athletes recruited there anymore. The Cougars had no talent at all on defense and legitimately should have considered just onside kicking it on every kick off seeing how bad things were,

He’s fixed so much there and his elite offensive scheme gives them a chance in every game even though the Cougars still have less talent than most elite teams.

Well our bread and butter play on 3rd and 9 was to have Wim take the shotgun snap, look around then stumble forward for a gain of 1 yd. I sure hope those were called as passes.
