I'd take Kiffin in a heartbeat. Bama is doing OK and Kiffin can hands down recruit! Bring in his dad to run the defense and we got ourselves a team!
Those guys have worked with/for some of the best coaches in CFB, it's only a matter of time till they click.
Mark my words, if Lame Kitten is hired at ND I will not watch, or go to, a Notre Dame game while he is here. It won't happen so I have nothing to worry about.

After observing Kiffin as an assistant at USC during the cheating years, his total incompetence and lying during his brief stint as HC of the Raiders, his disgusting unethical way he departed Tennessee, etc... I would actually decide to stop watching and following the Irish if they were desperate enough to hire this guy. I think there is zero chance of his being considered.

Look at what he has done in college and pro.
The last person you want coaching Notre Dame is Lane kiffin. He is a good offensive coordinator but a horrible head coach and if he brings his father along with him he's probably close to 80 years old at this point you will be even more upset about the result
